Mood Board- My Living Room

Monday, March 5, 2012

Good morning friends! I wanted to share my first mood board I created last night with you. I had so much fun doing it I may just have to do some more.

A couple of weeks ago I did a post about how my 3 year old sofa wasn't holding up anymore and so we went ahead and purchased a new one from Haverty's. Well just last week we recieved it and let me tell you she is a beauty. I don't think I've ever been more excited about a peice of furniture. Okay I take that back I get just as giddy with every single piece I own. Along with a new sofa comes new pillows, rug, curtains and well you get the idea.

So as some of you may know I am more of a neutral gal especially when it comes to designing my living room, don't worry I have color in my other spaces but when it comes down to it I always go towards naturals and browns with some pops of color here and there.
But this time I am adding a new color to my palette- I am going with gray. This is my first time I will be using gray and lots of patterns. Along with my new color fetish I will be using a combination of  gold and silver, the best of both worlds.

So here is my inspiration mood board for my living room and what may come of it. Missing on the board is my new sofa but you can see a pic here. Will post pics soon of my living room, once it's done!

  1. Oh LOVE it! Gray is a great choice you can add any pop of color will go with it. I love using neutrals as a base for that reason. Can't wait to see what you do! Now following you via linky followers. Hoping you will want to follow me back :)
