Celebrating + Beauty Ramblings

Saturday we celebrated 12 years of marriage bliss by having dinner at Capital Ale House and reminiscing how we met 16 years ago that day. I can't think of any other person I want to wake up next to for the rest of my life. Here's to the next 12 years and many more after that......

I love that man!

This post was meant for Friday I know bad blogger but I kinda got caught up in a few last minute things and forgot to post it. Promise that won't happen again or at least I hope not : )

Today I thought I'd share something a little different with you all. As much as I love obsess over interior design, I'm also a makeup junky - go ahead and throw fashion in the mix! What can I say I'm a girly girl!

So every now and then I will doing random posts about beauty and fashion - I hope that's okay with everyone! That being said , I want to share my favorite can't live without makeup, and why I love them soooo.

1. Urban Decay Naked Palete- This palette has absolutely everything I need. I use it for both daytime and evening to create a smokey or natural look. I'm in serious need for there latest 2nd edition!

2.Makeup Forever Foundation- I use this one in particular during winter to give me that flawless "no-makeup" feel. It feels so soft and velvety on my skin. Love it!

3.Nars Blush in Dolce Vita- Personally I think Nars has the best blushes ever. They come in several shades and I probably have tried them all but DV was made especially for me.

4.Stila Eyeliner-  It's all about the eyes! It took me awhile to find that "perfect eyeliner", I finally
found it in this one.

5. Laura Mercier Foundation- Also known as my summer foundation. It goes on seamless and has a really lightweight texture. Perfect for those hot sweaty days!

6. Laura Mercier Lip Gloss- This was a tough call as I also use Nars and Mac . But this one has just the right amount of sheer and shimmer my lips need.

7. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer- Can't live without this stuff! Nuff said!

8. Smashbox Photo Finish- I don't know how I was able to use makeup for so long without applying this first. It makes my skin feel so nice and silky.

9. Dior Show Mascara- Makes my puney little eyelashes look plush and full. Me likey!

10. Urban Decay Razor Sharp Powder- As you can see I use lot's of UD. Good stuff right there! This powder is the final step I use after applying all of my makeup. It sets it all in!

11. Anastasia Brow Pencil- I've been know to over pluck my brows so this pencil gives my brows that natural look.


Phew...was that a long list or what? I have tons more but these are hands down my favorite makeup products. What are yours? Don't hold back on me now! Next I will be showing you my favorite makeup tools. To be continued............ xo
