Lately I've been so indecisive! If picking out a simple shade of gray fabric wasn't bad enough now I can't decide on a rug. It's mind boggling! After narrowing it down between Pottery Barn and Crate & Barrel , in the end I decided to go with Flor carpet tiles. I found their rugs to be much more softer, affordable and kid friendly. If you have a store near you, you really should check it out they have a huge selection and the staff is very knowledgeable. Just my two cents!
While there, I went ahead and ordered several neutral sample tiles - because lighting can be so tricky you definitely want to see what it looks like in your home. Within a few days they arrived and now the question is which one do I want.
Funny how through my computer screen the colors look sooo different. Anyhow I keep going back to option numero uno, I love the color and especially the herringbone pattern.
Here is a better picture of what the color truly looks like.

And here are a few pattern rugs that I'm considering adding to in other spaces.

But that's for another day! For now me thinks I have found a winner. Let's hope between now and tomorrow nothing changes. XO

Mandy,
ReplyDeleteI love the Flor tiles! What a lot of fun! I think the herringbone is the prettiest.....and of course....later on....the patterned ones :)

I often think of carpet tiles as looking cheap, but these don't. It will be neat to see how you arrange them, whether going the same direction or alternating.

I like numero uno as well. Herringbone gives it a lot of interest! And wow, that blue one is sooo amazing. I wish rugs weren't so expensive!
ReplyDeletep.s. I emailed you back!
I always wanted to try the flor carpet tiles, and you might have pushed me further in the direction of putting some in our home! I love your favorite, and I LOVEEE the first pattern you showed. Can't wait to see it in your space! :)
ReplyDeleteSo cool! I love the look of the first photo with the alternating texture. Any of the samples will look awesome!
ReplyDeleteLove the last two patterned rugs. And the cool thing about using FLOR tiles is that you'll be able to change the pattern around any time the mood hits :-) All of your grey options are nice - I'm kind of drawn to #8 with the diamond pattern, but I also like #1 and #2. Good luck making your selection! I'm sure whichever one you go with will look great :-)
ReplyDeleteIndecisive is my middle name, so I know exactly how you feel! I've never tried FLOR tiles. I can't wait to see how they look in your house!
ReplyDeleteI love the herringbone. Can't wait to see how it all turns out!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, I haven't been able to make decisions lately either. I think there is just too much lovely things to choose from! I love no. 1 but I also really love no. 8 - can't wait to see how it turns out!
ReplyDeleteSuch a difficult decision. I am trying to pick out carpet for our basement and it's hard to find the right shade that goes with everything and doesn't show major foot traffic, but is still comfortable to walk on. Love those carpet tile options for an area rug. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI picked number 1 too before I read what you picked! :) I love the herringbone pattern. Those pics of rugs are so pretty. Can't wait to see the finished rooms!
ReplyDeleteI would pick 1 also... but I like 8 too! I love Flor... I so am trying to find a place to use it in my new house!
ReplyDeleteLove the herringbone pattern as well. I think you should do it!

ReplyDeleteI LOVE Flor! I have yet to buy any, but I always thought they'd be great for a nursery or playroom...since it's so easy to move them around, rearrange the pattern or change the size. I love the herringbone!
ReplyDeleteFlor carpet tiles are a great option! I never thought about them for my own space, but I may have to look into them!
