This past weekend we went to our nearest Ikea and by near I mean 1 hour away with no traffic. I don't think I need to tell you going on a weekend is probably the worst time to go ...ever!
Once we finally arrived we made our rounds through the shrowroom. My three year old insisted on climbing on every bed and sofa he saw. We recieved a few stares but luckily we weren't thrown out. No harm no foul! We then made our way to the lower level and picked up a couple of things along the way. I was actually surprised with myself that I didn't go on a shopping binge.
Our last and final destination was the food court. Each time we go we make it a point to dine in and munch on there delicious food. Oh and desert!
I vowed from this day on to go only on weekdays.... sans kids!
So how was your weekend? Any trips to Ikea lately?

One hour is closer than 5. How I wish we had one closer!!
ReplyDeleteYou would think I would go often but I don't. Maybe twice a year if that!
DeleteMy nearest IKEA is 4 hours away in Atlanta. I plan on going there this summer. I LOVE that store!
ReplyDeleteJust be sure to take a list of what you want to buy because once you get there your mind boggles. Trust me I know :)
DeleteSurprisingly, I've never been! I know, I know, crazy right?! The nearest one is in Orlando which is a good 2 hours away, so it would definitely have to be an all day event!
ReplyDeleteYou are a brave, brave woman to go to Ikea on the weekend with kids!!
ReplyDeleteTell me about it! Believe me when I say that won't happen again :)
DeleteOur nearest Ikea is only in the next town but with London traffic it takes about an hour and a half just to get there and then it's every man for himself! I agree with Cheltz, you are a very brave woman!
ReplyDeleteI have not been in a while, and ours is about 25 minutes away. I am lovin' those lamps. Maybe next weekend =)
ReplyDeleteOh, Ikea. I love it so much! Especially the meatballs!
ReplyDeleteAn Ikea trip is on my to-do list! I love that place.
